| Riparian Buffer Restoration Workshop Thursday, March 29, 2007, 3:30-5:00 pm & Tuesday, April 11, 2006, 4:00-6:00 p.m. Riparian areas provide a buffer between wetlands and more intensive land use and help protect water quality and habitat. The CTP coordinated workshops for non-profit organizations, private landowners and others to learn about the Riparian Buffer Restoration Fund, a portion of the Narragansett Bay and Watershed Restoration Bond that Rhode Island residents voted on in 2004. The workshops informed participants on how they could benefit from state and federal grants for restoring riparian areas. The workshop addressed:
