| Overview Workshop on the Draft RI Stormwater Manual Wednesday, June 24, 2009, 9:00-11:00 am In partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) and the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC), the CTP provided an overview workshop of the Public Review Draft Rhode Island Stormwater Manual. The workshop provided planners, municipal officials, environmental groups, and others with a brief overview of:
Instead of covering highly technical information more appropriate for designers and engineers, this workshop focused on Low-Impact Development (LID) site planning and design strategies and how they are effective ways for communities to reduce stormwater impacts. The workshop provided attendees an opportunity to ask questions and participate in dialogue with state and other local officials, and to provide input on the manual before the formal rule-making process begins in September.
