Conservation Design DVD Workshop
A total of six workshops have been delivered to date
Since the Conservation Development process requires GIS maps as opposed to engineered drawings of a proposed subdivision for submission to the town, the CTP worked with DEM's Supervising GIS Specialist to develop a product that would provide these maps in a format that wouldn't require GIS software or GIS experience by the user. The final product, entitled “Conservation Design DVD”, allows users to easily access any and all maps that are required and recommended to appropriately evaluate a site to be developed under the Conservation Development process. Users can quickly and easily generate ready-to-print site analysis maps in which parcel boundaries and other local data may be included. Six hands-on trainings were offered that guided participants through the DVD's contents and applications, and all participants received a free copy of the DVD to take with them.
